drained

degeneration. a loss of the strength needed to keep gravity from running its fingers along you, wringing the last of you out of you.

but more violent. like a tooth pulled out of its bloody crater and repeatedly glued back into place. losing connections to sensors that once ran through it.

to be drained is not to be empty but to be bony and uprooted.
